I got one of these just under two weeks ago. It has been nothing but trouble. It threw over my btinternet server when syncing (which presumably should, by the rules of spelling english, be pronounced "sinsing"). I was on the phone to tech support for hours (and hours.... and hours). Then, the night before travelling on business, it hung on the apple and the whole darned thing was locked. I managed to unlock it, but still had the same trouble on email. I was on the phone again to tech support. They got that going but then the flipping iPod bit got stuck on one track and would not give me the option to not repeat tracks.
I took it back to the shop. They refused to take it back . I dumped it behind the counter. I had not. They said I had thrown it down and had damaged it. They refused to take it back without the box. I went home and got the box and ancilliaries. They then bagged it up and put it on the street (where it belongs, admittedly) but refused to take it back and banned me from the shop or taking it back. They shut the shop door. I posted it through the letter box. A tussle ensued. They called the police and they reviewed the CCTV footage and said I had done nothing wrong. The shop still refused to take the phone back. And this was because of my attitude?! Great.
If this is post sales customer service (and in the UK you can take a hire purchase product back within 14 days of purchase under consumer credit law) Apple and O2 have a lot to answer for.
